Bedtime is one of the most important parts of our day. A calm, consistent nighttime routine makes such a difference in helping my baby settle down and get the rest she needs — and it helps me feel more relaxed too.
Over time, I’ve found a few products that make bedtime smoother, cozier, and more comfortable for both of us. These are the bedtime essentials I trust right now.
Clean sheets are key to a good night’s sleep, but with a baby in the house, they don’t always stay fresh for long. Between baby hairs, fuzz, and little messes, these IKEA lint rollers have been a simple way to keep bedding tidy in between washes.
They’re super sticky, easy to use, and pick up baby hairs in seconds. Honestly, they’ve helped me save a few extra laundry loads and keep the crib sheets looking fresh.
And when you need more, the IKEA lint roller refills make it easy to keep one on hand at all times — no running out in the middle of the week.
I used to have a diaper changing station, but now I find it so much easier to use these washable underpads right on my bed. They’re thick, super absorbent, and easy to wash, and the extra space is perfect now that my baby is rolling around more. Eventually, I’ll start placing them under the bed sheets too for extra protection against late-night leaks. I love buying products with long-term use.
Nighttime diaper changes are so much easier when wipes are warm. Cold wipes can jolt a baby awake, but this Hiccapop warmer keeps them just the right temperature — moist and soothing without overheating.
If I notice a little dryness, I simply add a cup of boiling water to refresh the wipes. It’s honestly the best wipe warmer I’ve found and makes those 2 a.m. changes much smoother.
One of my favorite bedtime rituals is rubbing a pea-sized amount of magnesium lotion on my baby’s feet before sleep. It helps her relax, wind down, and drift off more peacefully.
The lotion absorbs quickly, isn’t greasy, and feels like a calming step in our routine. It’s a small touch that makes bedtime feel extra soothing. The fragrance is also very subtle.
For me, bedtime is about creating a calm environment that supports comfort, relaxation, and rest. These products — from keeping sheets clean to adding a little extra coziness with warm wipes and calming lotion — help make nighttime smoother for both of us.
A restful baby means a restful mom, and that’s a win-win.
